Simple Machines In Egypt

Inclined Plane:an inclined plane is a flat surface that is higher on one end. You can use an inclined plane to move an object to a hogher or lower place.

Lever:A lever is  a bar rests on a fixed piont. A lever is also something that lifts something up.

Wedge: A wedge is made up of one or two inclined planes that move. A wedge is used to push an object apart.

Srew: A screw is an inclined plane that raps around itself. Screws can be used to hold objects together.

pulley:A pulley is made up of a grooved wheel and a rope. A pulley is used to move objects up,down,or sideways.

Wheel and axle: A wheel and axle is made of two circular objects of diffrent sizes that turn at the same time. A wheel and axle allows things to spin.

They used a pulley to help pick up big rocks. They also used an inclined plane to push big rocks to the top of the pyramids.

If they didn't have inclined planes then they couldn't bring big rocks to the top of a pyramid. If they didn't have levers then they couldn't pull rocks out the ground.If they didn't have wedges they couldn't cut the rock. If they didn't have screws they couldn't hold the peaces for the sled together. If they didn't have a pulley then they couldn't help pick up rocks. Last if they didn't have a wheel and axle then they couldn't roll the big rocks.
